The Association of Fundraising Professional, Maryland Chapter invites you to share your knowledge, ideas, and experience as a presenter in 2011. We are seeking presentations for our monthly trainings around the region, Fundraising Day in Maryland on June 6, 2011 in downtown Baltimore, and Fundraising Boot Camp in Westminster (tentatively planned for October 2011). Our training sessions are typically 75-90 minutes long and, for our all-day trainings, are grouped in tracks with similar subject or target audiences. Read more details.
2010 Maryland Business Philanthropy Awards
The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Baltimore Business Journal, is seeking nominations of businesses that have provided outstanding support for local non-profits 501(c)(3)s and/or schools this past year (September 2009 through August 2010) for its annual Business Philanthropy Awards.At least one outstanding small, medium and large business will receive an award. All nominees will be recognizedat the Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Philanthropy Day Luncheon to be held on Monday, November 15, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baltimore.Please note these awards are in addition to other awards to be presented that day.
You are invited to nominate your own or another business for the 2010 Business Philanthropy Awards. The nominations will be judged by a panel of business and community leaders. Call for Nominations 2011 Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year
Nominations are being sought for the 2011 Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year, which will be awarded to the winning nominee on Monday, June 6, 2011. The award ceremony will take place at a special luncheon to be held as part of the AFP Maryland chapter’s 26th Fundraising Day in Maryland Conference. The luncheon and conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and thank individuals who have held leadership volunteer positions in recent fundraising campaigns. The deadline for nominations is December 1, 2010. The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s Celebration of Philanthropy Scholarship offers limited funding to Anne Arundel County nonprofit organization staff members, volunteers, board members and residents who are interested in learning more about development and fundraising. Nonprofits not located in but serving primarily Arundel County are also eligible. These scholarships are funded by proceeds from the annual Celebration of Philanthropy Luncheon in Arundel County, sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Anne Arundel County in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Maryland Chapter.
